The American Psychological Association has announces changes to the PsycINFO database expected in time for the start of our fall semester. These include …
- a new publication status field, to indicate where the article is in the publishing process and to speed posting of citations;
- a new publication date field, to indicate as precise a publication date as is available; this information will supplement volume, issue, and year;
- a new publication history field, to capture the mutiple dates associated with publications;
- a new copyright holder field, to identify the copyright holder at the time of publication.
In addition, dissertations will be more clearly identified in citations and about 120 terms are being added to the official subject heading list to reflect changes in the discipline.
